Foodies start making plans for Little Italy’s 13th Annual Taste of Little Italy starting on Monday, June 14 and running through Thursday, June 17.
Attendees will be able to take in the summer air while walking through the neighborhood’s 48 square blocks, sampling mouthwatering bites from over 20 culinary gems.
Celebrating 13 years!
“We are so excited to be able to bring back Taste of Little Italy for our 13th year,” said Chris Gomez, District Manager of the Little Italy Association. “Whether you choose to take the food home or take in the sights and delicious bites in one of our piazzas, be sure to bring your appetite! The event sells out quickly, so we encourage purchasing your tickets early.”
Following the success of last year’s Takeout Edition, this year’s format features a fresh new look similar to that of a pre-COVID experience. Upon arrival, attendees will check-in at the Piazza della Famiglia where they will be given their Taste Passport. Guests will then make their way to each restaurant stop, taking away a curated menu of “tastes” to enjoy at their leisure. A Taste Passport is provided to ticketholders as a guide, listing all participating restaurants and menu offerings.
Safety measures in place
While the pandemic-related restrictions are easing, there will still be safety measures in place. To ensure the safest experience for everyone, attendees are asked to maintain proper physical distancing and are required to wear face masks while inside each restaurant to pick up their bites. Once guests have visited every stop on their Taste Passport, they’ll be able to enjoy their bites and sips at one of the many open-air piazzas or can take the to-go to enjoy from the comfort of their own home.
Tickets can be purchased online and are priced at $45, plus a small service fee, with a portion of every ticket sold going directly back to the restaurants to provide some financial relief from the struggles and hardships they have suffered over the last year due to COVID-19.
