Executive chef Gabriella Tioto, a native of Taranto, Italy in the Puglia region, has created a menu for the quaint Italian ristorante, highlighting the flavors of the Mediterranean paired with wines from winemaker Tormaresca. Tormaresca is the only producer with vineyards in both of Puglia’s two winegrowing sub-regions: Salento and Castel del Monte DOC.

Priced at $75 per person, the dinner will begin with puréed fava beans and a glass of Chardonnay Salento IGT; followed by Cavatelli with mussels and cannellini beans paired with Torcicoda Primitivo Salento IGT; the entrée will feature Puglia’s “little bomb”, fresh pork rolls stuffed with pancetta, provolone cheese and garlic with a glass of Masseria Maíme Negroamaro Salento IGT; and for dessert, a lemon semifreddo ice cream with crushed meringue will be paired with Marchesi Antinori Muffato della Sala.
See you there, San Diego!
