City Tacos
Taco lovers can revel in something new at all City Tacos locations! The taqueria has introduced two new styles of tacos, Caseros Homestyle Tacos and Tacos Dorados, to its core menu with the return of outdoor dining. Caseros Homestyle Taco selections include Costilla de Res en Salsa Verde and Cochinita Pibil—slow cooked pulled pork in a traditional Mayan achiote sauce, pickled onions, served with a semi-spicy serrano habanero creamy green salsa. Tacos Dorados feature two golden fried rolled tacos served with Mike Hess Solis IPA beer fondue and a semi-spicy serrano-habanero creamy green salsa, with flavor selections such as Chorizo con Papas and Machaca de Pollo.
Grant’s Coffee Room
Looking to change up your work-from-home scenery? Post up on Grant’s Coffee Room’s outdoor patio and enjoy South Park’s scenic neighborhood with a side of signature coffee, baked goods, sandwiches, and more. The community coffee spot is open daily and has recently partnered with Tijuana’s beloved Tortas Wash Mobile for a must-try pop up installation. Head to Grant’s every Wednesday from 2:30PM – 7:30PM. and try the famous
Wash Torta for yourself!
Grater Grilled Cheese and Grater Green
Sister restaurants Grater Grilled Cheese and Grater Greens have relaunched outdoor dining services and some brand new menu additions! Grater Grilled Cheese will now cater to the morning crowd with a new breakfast menu at the Mission Valley outpost, available daily beginning at 8 AM. New dishes include options such as the Chorizo Grilled Cheese, Morning Glory Grilled Cheese, and the Grater Chicken Biscuit—fried chicken tenders drizzled with signature sriracha maple syrup, served atop a buttermilk bun, cheddar and bacon. On the lighter side, head to Grater Greens and build a nourishing salad or wrap, treat yourself to new gluten-free brownies, or keep cozy with a cup of lentil soup on the heated outdoor patio.
El Cruce + 241
Savor the flavors of Baja when you stop by El Cruce + 241 in Chula Vista. The Baja-inspired tap-room, wine bar and kitchen has officially reopened its extended patio to accommodate outdoor diners. Enjoy authentic dishes such as the Ceviche Campechano, fresh Oysters, and signature Fish Tacos, paired with exclusive Baja beer and wine. And, cheers to 10% off of your dine-in bill with the purchase of any bottle of wine! El Cruce is open daily from 11:30AM – 8PM.
Farmer’s Bottega
Nestled in the heart of Mission Hills, Farmer’s Bottega is back open for outdoor seating with an aesthetically pleasing patio set up. Stop in Wednesday through Sunday and enjoy brunch, happy hour, or dinner selections and indulge in all of your cravings with dishes ranging from decadent Brioche French Toast to Short Rib Lasagna. Don’t forget to add on a craft cocktail or glass of wine!
Saint Archer Brewing Company
Saint Archer Brewing Company will be reopening both of it’s tasting rooms, located in Miramar and Leucadia respectively, for guests to enjoy onsite, outdoor beers paired with local food partners.
Leucadia has partnered with Pandora Pizza, and Miramar will be serving Artesano Tacos on Saturdays, and Pizza Joint Monday through Friday, and Sunday. Leucadia is open daily from 12PM to 7PM, while Miramar is open Monday through Thursday 2PM to 7PM, Friday and Saturday 12PM to 7PM, and Sunday 12PM to 6PM. The brewery will also continue to offer local delivery, to-go beers and curbside pickup.
Vistal and Garibaldi
Vistal and Garibaldi, both located within the InterContinental San Diego, are happy to welcome guests back for on-site outdoor dining. Vistal’s terrace has reopened for daily dining from 7AM to 9PM, with their full menu available. Garibaldi, the InterContental’s rooftop bar and eatery, will reopen on Saturday, February 6th for dinner, and will resume their Sunday brunch offerings on February 7th. Following Garibaldi’s reopening, the restaurant will be open Friday and Saturday from 4PM to 9PM, and Sunday from 10AM to 2PM, with the exception of Sunday, February 14th, which will offer a Valentine’s Day three course dinner from 4PM to 9PM at $95 per couple.
Barbusa
Little Italy hotspot, Barbusa, is excited to welcome guests back for outdoor dining starting Tuesday, January 26th. The restaurant will be serving up their modern Sicilian cuisine Tuesday through Friday from 4PM until close, and Saturday and Sunday from 11AM to close. The restaurant is temporarily only accepting walk-ins, with tables available on a first come first serve basis.
Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa
Starting this weekend, Greenfinch Restaurant at Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa will be open for brunch Friday-Sunday 8AM to 2PM and for dinner on Saturday and Sunday from 4PM to 9PM. Beginning February 1st, Greenfinch will open daily for breakfast from 8AM to 2PM and will have a Valentine Pop-up Bar Friday and Saturdays from 4PM to 9PM. Additionally, Mustangs & Burros will open daily for dinner from 4PM to 9PM beginning February 1.
Madison on Park
The neighborhood gem is excited to now announce that they have been able to hire back all of their employees and are ready to begin outdoor dining service starting this Friday, January 29th. Open Tuesday – Sunday from 5PM-10PM, and Saturday – Sunday from 9:30AM-2PM for weekend brunch, featuring the restaurant’s approachable Mediterranean and Southern California fare, cocktails and an extensive wine list, guests can cozy up on the restaurant’s beautiful al-fresco street-side patio. Reservations are recommended and can be made through OpenTable. The restaurant will continue to offer takeout and delivery through Postmates and DoorDash.
Ranch 45
Restaurant and butcher shop Ranch 45 in Solana Beach is happy to reopen for outdoor dining and unveil their recently renovated patio, which was completed shortly before the latest stay-at-home order took effect. The restaurant offers breakfast and lunch daily from 8PM to 4PM, along with a special dinner menu Thursdays through Saturdays from 5PM to 8:30PM, and a Sunday Supper series on Sundays from 2PM to 4PM. To compliment their menu offerings, Ranch 45 also offers a full selection of meat, wine and provisions.
Rusticucina
The farm-to-neighborhood eatery located on Park Boulevard features Executive Chef Marco Provino’s Sicilian crafted cuisine featuring pizzas, flatbreads, in-house pasta and more. Starting today (Tuesday, January 26th), the restaurant will be open for outdoor dining on the beautiful al-fresco patio from 4pm to 10pm. Moving forward, the restaurant will be open Monday – Friday from 4PM to 10PM and Saturday – Sunday from 10AM to 10PM, reservations can be made through OpenTable but are not required. Rusticucina also continues to offer takeout and has delivery available through GrubHub and Postmates.
Teriyaki & Bao
Asian-fusion restaurant, Teriyaki & Bao, is now open for outdoor dining. The restaurant is set up with heaters and umbrellas to keep customers protected and warm. Enjoy unique menu items that draw inspiration from viral Asian food trends, like the Tornado Fried Rice which is classic fried rice with a tornado omelette and tomato sauce, Creamy Matcha Udon with curry, green tea powder, potato, bell pepper, edamame, carrot and onion, and Almond Cauliflower Bites served Korean style with gochujang sauce. Also on the menu are Harumama’s Instagram-favorite steamed character buns, now with new character designs and fillings as well as never-before-seen character Bao buns which are unique to this location.Current hours are Sunday-Thursday 11AM-3PM and 4PM-9PM (closed 3PM-4PM) and Friday-Saturday 11AM-9PM. Please check their website or Yelp page for the most accurate hours as they’re subject to change as the restaurant adjusts.
The Presley
The Presley, located in Liberty Station, will be reopening its patio for outdoor dining beginning Saturday, January 30th. The restaurant, which is the newest concept by hospitality group Good Time Design (Moonshine Beach, Moonshine Flats, etc.) has ample outdoor seating, along with elements like fire pits, that make it the perfect spot to enjoy a bite out with your quarantine crew. Following Saturday’s reopening, The Presley will be open Thursdays through Sundays from 11AM to 10PM.
Valentina
The European-inspired bistro and wine bar, Valentina, is now accepting reservations starting Thursday, February 11th. Reservations are available through their website, or on OpenTable and are highly recommended, but not always needed. Valentina will also be offering a PreFixe Menu for Valentine’s weekend, check their website and social media for more information and updates.
Mavericks Beach Club
Mavericks Beach Club, along Garnet Avenue, is set to reopen the doors on Thursday, January 28th and has an excellent lineup of daily specials to get excited about! Monday through Friday, from 2PM – 6PM, Happy Hour will consist of $4 beers, wines, and well cocktails, $6 margaritas and Mai Tais, and $2 off all snacks. And if you missed brunch as much as we did, you can now enjoy Mavericks’ Weekend Brunch every Saturday and Sunday from 10AM– 1PM with $15 bottles of champagne and rose, $7 Absolut Bloody Mary’s, $7 Bloody beers, and $20 Bubble Slushie Buckets.
barleymash
The Gaslamp Quarter’s beloved barleymash is back-in-action, beginning Thursday at Noon! Now you can chow down on the city’s best loaded fries, flatbreads, and burgers from the newly created parklets, soon-to-be equipped with TVs. barleymash will be open from Noon – 10PM and can’t wait to serve you some of San Diego’s tastiest food and drink, created by Chef Kevin Templeton.
Duck Dive
PB’s laid back beach bar, Duck Dive, will be open for outdoor dining Thursday through Sunday, starting out with a limited menu of favorites. Dive into Poke Tacos, made with ahi tuna, soy sauce, and ginger in a wonton shell topped with sriracha aioli, wings, and more! Duck Dive also has an impressive lineup of craft cocktails, beer, and wine!
Fish Shop
All three Fish Shop locations – Point Loma, Pacific Beach, and Encinitas – have officially reopened their patios for guests to enjoy the freshest fish around. Build your own custom dish, by selecting your fish, marinade, and style, or select from favorites like the TKO Taco.
Each location serves beer and wine, and Point Loma also has a delicious cocktail menu. All three are open daily from 11AM – 9PM!
Bub’s @ the Beach
Bub’s @ the Beach is reopening for daily outdoor dining from noon to 9PM starting Saturday, January 30th, slinging new specials sure to please those who have missed their beloved Pacific Beach spot! Treat yourself to happy hour Monday through Friday from 3PM to 5PM, and gorge on $1 wings when you order five or 10 slathered in your favorite Bub’s sauce. Wednesdays are for more wings, so head there for buy-one-get-one wings on orders of five!
Union Kitchen & Tap Encinitas
Union Kitchen & Tap Encinitas is back for outdoor dining daily, bringing back Wine Wednesdays as far as the eye can see, complete with half-off bottles of wine, plus social hours from 3PM to 5PM, Monday through Friday! Mask up and grab some grub in beautiful Downtown Encinitas during their hours of operation Monday through Wednesday between 4PM and 10PM, Thursday and Friday from 11AM to 10PM, and Saturday and Sunday from 9AM to 10PM.
Waterbar
Pacific Beach dwellers can enjoy stunning ocean views again at Waterbar, where outdoor dining will resume on Saturday, January 30th with plenty of COVID precautions in place! Dive into seaside specialties such as New England Clam Chowder, East Coast Lobster Roll and Baja Fish Tacos. Waterbar will be open daily from 11AM to 10PM.
Pacific Beach AleHouse
Hoppy days are ahead at Pacific Beach AleHouse, which will officially open for patio dining on Saturday, January 30th, ready to serve up toothsome bites and frothy brews on their scenic patios. Be sure to order their Jumbo Bavarian Pretzel paired with one of the location’s fresh house brews. You’ve earned it! Hours at this location will be Wednesday through Sunday from 11AM to 10PM.
Backyard Kitchen & Tap
Backyard Kitchen & Tap has been sorely missed in the Pacific Beach culinary scene, which is why they’re excited to announce their outdoor dining reopening with plenty of patio space to ensure the safety and comfort of every guest in their Sideyard. Delight in creamy Lobster Mac or sip their Sandia Picante cocktail, infused with Spicy Don Julio, lemon juice, lime juice, agave and watermelon with a tajin rim. Hours at this local staple are Wednesday through Friday from 4PM to 10PM, as well as Saturday and Sunday from 11AM to 10PM.
Breakfast Republic
All Breakfast Republic locations are back up and running with patio dining, so you can savor an indulgent brunch spread without a home unboxing! Reunite with outdoor dining by ordering some of the eatery’s classics, including Breakfast Bacon Mac ‘n’ Cheese, Breakfast Jambalaya and Cinnamon Roll Pancakes. Heck, celebrate with a pancake or French toast flight for good measure! Hours of operation at all locations are daily from 7AM to 3PM.
Gaslamp Breakfast Company
Brunch like a champion again at Gaslamp Breakfast Company, where outdoor dining has officially reopened. Toast to the occasion with their Beet cocktail brimming with a blend of horchata vodka, Ancho Reyes, lemon and beet juice, or perk up with their Matcha Green Tea Latte. Cravings are born to be curbed so sink your teeth into their Orange thyme Waffle with whipped mascarpone, orange segments and thyme-infused honey, or delight in a plate of their Fried Rice Benedict, prepared with crispy ham, sambal hollandaise, pickled radish salad and two poached eggs served with house potatoes. Fig Tree Café
Feel like gettin’ figgy with it first thing in the morning? Outdoor dining is on the menu at
Fig Tree Café’s locations in Pacific Beach and Liberty Station. Available daily from 7AM to 3PM, the brunch-tastic eatery is ready to serve tables covered in coveted breakfast items such as Breakfast Sushi with three thick bacon rolls (baked with brown sugar and paprika), encircling rice and scrambled eggs, topped with scallions and plum sauce. The Original 40 Brewing Company
North Park is rearing to go and The Original 40 Brewing Company couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome back guests for outdoor dining! There’s no duo more iconic than the location’s juicy OG Burger, piled high with lettuce, red onion, tomato, white cheddar cheese and garlic aioli served with house-cut fries, coupled with one of their house-brewed beers. Get your fill Monday through Thursday from 3PM to 9PM, Friday and Saturday from noon to 10PM, and Sunday from noon to 8PM.
Operacaffe
The Gaslamp District is giddy about the patio reopening at their neighborhood Italian staple, Operacaffe! Slated to welcome back guests starting on Wednesday, February 3rd, the restaurant will keep their menu full of crave-worthy creations like their Gnocchi Gorgonzola e Mirtilli with sweet gorgonzola cheese and blueberries, and Penne Speperina with spicy sausage, mascarpone cheese and mint. Patio dining hours will be Wednesday through Sunday from 4PM to 9:30PM, and Friday through Saturday from 4PM to 9:30PM.
