Newly Added Artists to the 2021 Carlsbad Music Festival
Trumpeter and composer, Steph Richards, of Steph Richards Power Vibe, who has steadily established herself as an engaging experimentalist on the jazz and creative music scenes.
Festival founder, composer, and violinist, Matt McBane, returns with new music for his instrumental band that straddles minimalist chamber music and instrumental post-rock.
San Diego-based jazz artists of the Charlie Arbeláez Afro-Cuban Sextet play music inspired by blues and Latin rhythms.
Local Jason Diaz is a jazz guitarist/arranger and pop vocalist/singer-songwriter.
The Get Down Boys are a staple in the Southern California Bluegrass scene.
Son de San Diego plays music from the southern region of Veracruz State in Mexico known as Son Jarocho.
Temecula-based Nathan & Jessie plays a blend of jazzy folk and blues.

Highlights of previously announced artists include:
Arooj Aftab performing her gorgeous new album “Vulture Prince” with an all-star band of Shahzad Ismaily and Gyan Riley.
The return of The Mattson 2, who since they last performed at the Festival have released a series of impressive records to critical acclaim and international audiences.
Also returning is the Calder Quartet, who have been closely associated with the Festival since its beginning, and who have continued to raise their playing to exquisite new heights.
The Festival is looking forward to welcoming Systems Officer, which is Zach Smith’s band — Smith is known for his work with Pinback and Three Mile Pilot — which has been releasing a series of terrific singles throughout the past year.

Your safety is still priority
All Festival venues are outdoor for COVID-19 safety and located in the Village of Carlsbad, with the Festival Hub on the lawn at St. Michael’s by-the-Sea featuring a craft beer garden, food trucks, an artisan market, and a playground for kids.

New for 2021
All concerts will be ticketed at prices accessible to all. Three-day general admission passes range from $49 to $59 in advance and $69 at the festival. Three-day VIP tickets range from $209 to $259, with an option for parking. One-day passes are on sale now for $18 and will be $25 at the door, and one-day passes for children aged 6 to 12 are half the price of adult passes, and children 5 and under are free.
