Stout lovers….START. YOUR. ENGINES!!! It’s time to gear up for AleSmith’s two-day Speedway Grand Prix event during San Diego Beer Week, spotlighting twelve different award-winning Speedway Stouts, plus a VIP bonus boasting four barrel-aged versions!
Speedway Stout has been a favorite in AleSmith’s year-round lineup since 1999. Its flavor is dominated by chocolate and roasted malts, which are complemented by a healthy dose of coffee added to each batch. While the stout is topnotch just the way it is, its well-balanced profile and smooth drinkability make it the ideal candidate for the AleSmith team to use to flex their creative muscles. So, once a year they decide to push the limits and create exclusive one-off variations of Speedway Stout that are sure to impress.
The event
Rev up your engines and head to AleSmith’s Miramar tasting room for three laps of crave-worthy Speedway Stout variants. The brew team has been hard at work to craft their own fun and tasty twists on everyone’s favorite Imperial Stout, resulting in the following variants (list is subject to change):
