The sun is out, the flowers are on point, and The Carlsbad Flower Fields officially opened for the season on March 1st and plan on staying open until May 9th.
It kind of feels like life could be returning to some sort of ‘normal’, doesn’t it?!

A Spring tradition
For over sixty years, the rolling hills of North San Diego County transform into one of the most spectacular and coordinated displays of natural color and beauty anywhere in the world. The nearly 50 acres of glory is made up by Giant Tecolote Ranunculus flowers.
This amazing display has become part of the area’s local heritage, and is one of nature’s official ways of announcing the arrival of Spring here in Southern California!
Thankfully, the fields are open to enjoy and the flowers can give everyone a bit of relief from the dreariness of the pandemic.

Reservations + Safety measures
Visiting the fields right now requires a reserved ticket purchased in advance.
In addition, capacity at the fields has been reduced, and all visitors must wear a mask at all times. Click here for full details regarding safety measures in place.
